My nephew's husband and his wife had a terrible experience when purchasing a condominium late age. They were referred to a lawyer called Ms Poh Boon Kar by the property agent and the seller, who also used the same lawyer. Unfortunately, the process was delayed due to the lawyer's inexperience. She failed to screen/check the seller properly and didn't realize he was already in bankruptcy status until weeks after the sales and purchase agreement was signed after, even though she had already taken payment from both parties. Dealing with such inexperienced lawyers can be very risky. Typically, they should thoroughly review everything before preparing the sales and purchase agreement to protect all parties involved.
